Casa Lili is a small and cute holiday studio/room, an ideal hideaway for two people visiting Santorini and eager to explore the traditional village of Megalochori and the fantastic island of Santorini. Its little outdoor space in the courtyard offers a lovely location to enjoy coffee or drinks outdoors in a fully traditional village accommodation setting.

Compact yet comfy in its own right, Casa Lili is also a charming and convenient choice for those part of a larger group staying in one or several of our other Megalochori homes on the same location. Decorated in soft relaxing tones and textures, this holiday home is ideal for complete and utter relaxation. Casa Lili is fully air-conditioned and offers guests satellite TV and free WiFi access.

Interior

Interior designed with your own comfort in mind, Casa Lili is decorated in tones of creme and beige. It consists of one room with a double bed, flat-screen satellite TV and air-conditioning, as well as a bathroom with a shower. I does not have a kitchen, but it does have a small frisge for your convenience.

Exterior

A sitting area is located on the courtyard in front of the main entrance of Casa Lili. The location is ideal to enjoy the sunlight, fresh air and traditional ‘alley’ village feel outdoors. Guests have been known to enjoy coffee, and/or drinks here, just like locals have been doing for centuries.

Whereabouts

Casa Lili is located in the heart of the quaintly wonderful village of Megalochori, one of the most picturesque traditional villages on the island. The origins of Megalochori have been traced all the way back to the 17th century. It is known for its famous pirate hideaway spots, wine canavas and impressive historical mansions and traditional houses. These are rich in idiosyncratic architectural features like high ceilings, inner courtyards and solid wooden door entrances, whose function was both to ensure privacy as well as protect against pirates that regularly raided the island during medieval times.

Megalochori is therefore a village rich in history and culture, widely celebrated and visited by both locals and visitors. It also boasts a rich history of trade and commerce, as the prosperous land barons systematically exported the famous Vinsanto wine, still produced to this day, across the globe and to lands far beyond.

Santorini Casa Lili is so ideally located, that you will be able to seize the most out of, and enjoy this traditional village, as well as explore every other corner of this unique and most charming Greek island.

Access

Guests will enjoy complete and exclusive access to all areas of the Santorini Casa Lili including its private terrace, during their stay.

You can therefore choose to relax indoors or outdoors and enjoy the village life in full comfort, at any time.

Directions & Getting Around

We strongly recommend using a vehicle, rented or privately-owned, to enjoy the island of Santorini to its fullest potential.

Taxis could also be utilised, though may be scarce at times during specific parts of the season. In general, enjoying full travel independence either way, is a known ingredient in order to have a fantastic time in Santorini.

Important Notes

• We would kindly ask that you respect the neighbours at all times. We urge your attention to the following ‘quiet hours’ enforced by law; during which you must pay special attention; so that there is no disturbing or excessive noise coming from the accommodation:
  • Summer quiet hours (Apr.1-Sep30): 3PM-5.30PM & 11PM-7AM
  • Winter quiet hours (Oct.1-Mar.31): 3.30PM-5.30PM & 10PM-7.30AM
• Upon arrival guests must display a valid form of identification (ID or passport). Also, a short-term rental agreement must be signed as required by current Greek law under the Greek taxation system. Guests will not be able to check in if this requirement is not satisfied.
• This accommodation’s refurbishment and interior design was constructed utilising the finest materials. We expect you to respect it accordingly. Any damages will incur the relevant charges. In case these are not covered by the deposit held, additional charges will be claimed.
