Casa Vinios is the small, compact and simply adorable little hideaway between the four properties available within the Old Winery Villa complex in Pyrgos Santorini. It can accommodate 2 (+1) people. The property originally was home to a wine and tsipouro factory and is listed, as a 15th century historical building.

An impressive highlight of this 36sq.m. 1-level home, apart from the artful interior design, is the fact that it is the only one of the buildings in the Winery complex that has a direct view of the island from its living space.

Guests of Casa Vinios will have access to both the main and the terrace shared pools as well as the main kitchen, the wine cellar and the outdoor bar. An ideal choice for a couple wanting to visit the Island of Santorini in style, and is looking for a compact and cute accommodation to enjoy their stay in. Those with a weak spot for everything design, will probably be the most impressed!

Interior

As most homes on this island, the dominant colour is white in Casa Vinios. Wooden objects and earthly beige colours emit a more personal touch and complement the otherwise charmingly industrial authentic look that is found throughout the complex.

An open plan living space with a small but fully equipped modern kitchen is just the place to return to for a snack and drinks, after strolling around the villages and beaches of the island.

Casa Vinios offers 1 bedroom with a double bed, and its own en-suite bathroom.

Even though it is small in size, it definitely does not miss out on amenities part. Complimentary services by the villa, a Coco Mat organic mattress, Korres natural products and BOSE sound system are just a few of the high end hospitally treats that you will enjoy during your stay in Casa Vinios.

Exterior

The exterior spaces of this Pyrgos Santorini Casa are equally generous and impressive. Unique choices for alfresco arrangements are offered throughout the outdoor spaces.

Guests in this home will have access to both the shared swimming pools, the main pool which offers counter-current swimming, and the terrace pool that offers sunset views over the island.

Moreover those who choose to stay in Casa Vinios will also have access to the public areas of the property, which include a gas stove kitchen, a wine cellar a dining area for 12 and an exterior bar!

Whereabouts

Casa Vinios is located in the traditional picturesque village of Pyrgos (meaning tower) Santorini, literally a ‘no cars-allowed’ zone.  The village is built amphitheatrically on a hill that offers magnificent views of the island in almost all directions. It is worth noting that it was once the first capital of the island. Its name was Kallisti (meaning the beautiful one) at the time. Need we say more?

The home is situated in the “Voreina” (Northern) region, beneath the remains of the Venetian castle called ‘’Kasteli’’ located at the top of the hill. This area of the island has maintained all its traditional elements, boasting medieval narrow streets, fortified walls, and hidden passages, all combined with the unique Cycladic local architecture.

Pyrgos boasts a rich history and today is home to many taverns and wine bars, galleries and boutiques, not to mention amazing restored buildings. Some are available for visitors to book, and experience life here just as the locals did for centuries. All in all, Pyrgos is therefore a village rich in history and culture, widely celebrated and adored both by locals and visitors alike.

Access

Guests will enjoy complete and exclusive access to all areas of the home. The 2 pools, the lounge terraces, the main kitchen, the wine cellar and the exterior bar are shared with another 2 villas, located within the property.

You can therefore choose to relax indoors or outdoors and enjoy full comfort at any time.

We strongly recommend using a vehicle, rented or privately-owned, to enjoy the island of Santorini to its fullest potential.

Taxis could also be utilised, though may be scarce at times during specific parts of the season. In general, enjoying full travel independence either way, is a known ingredient in order to have a fantastic time in Santorini.

  • We would kindly ask that you respect the neighbours at all times. We urge your attention to the following ‘quiet hours’ enforced by law; during which you must pay special attention; so that there is no disturbing or excessive noise coming from the home:
    • Summer quiet hours (Apr.1-Sep30): 3PM-5.30PM & 11PM-7AM
    • Winter quiet hours (Oct.1-Mar.31): 3.30PM-5.30PM & 10PM-7.30AM
  • Upon arrival guests must display a valid form of identification (ID or passport). Also, a short-term rental agreement must be signed as required by current Greek law under the Greek taxation system. Guests will not be able to check in if this requirement is not satisfied.
  • The home’s refurbishment and interior design was constructed utilising the finest materials. We expect you to respect it accordingly. Any damages will incur the relevant charges. In case these are not covered by the deposit held, additional charges will be claimed.
  • A range of services can also be arranged on request: Daily cleaning and/or cooking staff, assistance regarding use of the facilities, Transportation & Chauffeur Services, Boat Charters and Trips and other Tailor Made Services. Please just ask.
  • Due to its layout, this property can be rented out with Villa Inos and Villa Mela as one rental: Villa Lucia. But by also adding Villa Sena you can rent out the whole Old Winery Villa that can accommodate 16(+5) guests.
