The Flat

This wonderful 54 sq.m. flat in Paros has just recently been fully renovated and refurbished. Entering from its own exclusive access through the traditional doorway, guests will walk into the fairly large living room, boasting an open plan kitchen equipped with all modern amenities, a fireplace, air-conditioning, a 32’’ flat screen TV, a sofa-bed with a coffee table and a dining table which can comfortably cater for up to 4 people.

The fully equipped kitchen is designed to give guests full autonomy and ease when planning and preparing meals. The traditionally and elegantly designed bedroom, also boasting full access to the large balcony, has a double bed and a second air-conditioning unit! On the end of the property one would find the bathroom, with a bath tub. All rooms are traditionally designed and furnished so that guests feel welcome, comfortable and at home. The veranda has a dining table with chairs, as well as a bench on the other end, where you can take some time off to enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner, perhaps a cocktail or a glass of wine, and relax enjoying the lovely views towards the island’s rural countryside.

The whole area, living room, bedroom and the massive balcony they face towards boast direct uninterrupted views towards that charming countryside surrounding the maisonette.

The Area

The flat is located on the outskirts of the town and main port of Paros, called ‘Parikia’, just a couple of kilometres away and only about a 5-7 minute drive. This means that although you will fully enjoy the rural peace and quiet of the Paros countryside, you will still benefit from having easy access to all that the main town and port of the island has to offer. This obviously includes a large number of restaurants, bars, cafés, super markets, and many shops of any kind which will cater to your any and every need.

Parikia has a buzzing nightlife if that is your thing, and if not, you will be far enough to not be bothered by it. Also, the proximity to Parikia offers easy access to several historical and cultural monuments present there, amongst which is the very impressive church ‘Panagia Ekatontalipiani’ (meaning ‘Virgin Mary of 100 gates’), the Asclepeion, Sanctuary of Pythian Apollo, the Frankish Castle of Parikia, the Archaeological Museum of Paros, and more.

Parikia also offers the best connections to locations on the rest of the island and several services otherwise inaccessible at the more remote parts of the island. Needless to say that due to the location of the maisonette, on your arrival to Paros transfer to Casa ‘Orpheus’ will be as quick and straightforward as can be, as will be getting to the port on the day of your departure.

Guest access

Guests will have complete and exclusive access to all areas of the flat Casa ‘Orpheus’. Including the large balcony, during their stay. You can choose to relax indoors in the living room or on the lush large veranda, at any time.

Choosing to spend your holidays at the flat ‘Casa Orpheus’ is all about enjoying your vacation. We will therefore welcome you on check in and give you all the information you might need. If on the other hand you need to ask about anything else throughout your stay, please do not hesitate to ask! 🙂

During your stay, a host will be available if and when needed. We appreciate privacy and discretion as well-sought ingredients for relaxing and memorable holidays.

Getting Around

We recommend having access to a car.  This way you will be able to fully enjoy all the flat has to offer; as well as the vast beauty and various breath-taking locations, sites, monuments, museums and beaches on the island of Paros. Taxis and transportation services; though perhaps more costly than hiring a vehicle; can also be utilised for your transport around the island.

• Nearest beaches: 3min drive, 1.6km

Other things to Note

• We would kindly ask that you respect the neighbours at all times. We urge your attention to the following ‘quiet hours’ enforced by law. During the following hours there should be no disturbing or excessive noise; coming from the maisonette or its surrounding plot of land:
  • Summer quiet hours (Apr.1-Sep30): 3PM-5.30PM & 11PM-7AM
  • Winter quiet hours (Oct.1-Mar.31): 3.30PM-5.30PM & 10PM-7.30AM
• Upon arrival guests must display a valid form of identification (ID or passport). Also a short-term rental agreement has to be signed as required by current Greek law under the Greek taxation system. Guests will not be able to check in if this requirement is not satisfied.
• Utilising the finest materials, this maisonette has been refurbished and interior designed with care. We expect you to respect the maisonette accordingly. Any damages will incur the relevant charges. In case these are not covered by the deposit held, any additional charges will be claimed.
• Upon request we can arrange for daily cleaning at an extra cost.
• A range of services can also be arranged on request: Daily cooking staff, assistance regarding use of the facilities, Transportation & Chauffeur Services, Boat Charters and Trips and other Tailor Made Services. Please just ask.
