Located in an authentic traditional island estate, complete with vineyards, figs and lemon trees, Casa Nefeli can comfortably accommodate up to 4 guests in two separate bedrooms, and an extra child at a sofa bed in the living area.

The interior of Casa Nefeli is furnished and decorated by skillfully fusing a modern approach with authentically traditional elements, textures and styles. All modern amenities are available for you to enjoy, as well as a fireplace and a parking space. The exterior spaces are another fantastic feature available for your absolute pleasure.

Enjoying your breakfast, or any meal for that matter, while sipping some coffee, drinks or a glass of local wine while enjoying the breathtaking views is the way to go. The balcony includes outdoor furniture and offers superb views of the Aegean Sea and the picturesque village of Kimolos, and the large veranda features an umbrella, deckchairs, and offers direct & unobstructed panoramic sea & sunset views that are bound to leave you charmed.

Interior

Casa Nefeli is the one of two separate maisonettes available in the estate. It consists of two bedrooms, the first boasting a large (160cmΧ200cm) double bed, the second either two single beds (80cmΧ200cm), or a large double bed (160cmΧ200cm) as well. The stylish bathroom includes a shower, and the playfully colourful kitchen is equipped with all basic amenities for your convenience, including a large refrigerator and a dining area with a table for 4 people.

The living area includes a traditional sofa, an armchair and a large stool that converts to a single bed (75cmX195cm), and boasts its own fireplace. Casa Nefeli radiates a very warm and welcoming vibe, and you will certainly feel at home right when you step into this lovely holiday abode.

Exterior

The balcony at the entrance of Casa Nefeli offers views of the Aegean Sea, the small island of Polyaigos and the picturesque village of Kimolos. The large veranda at the rear includes an umbrella and deckchairs, making it ideal for enjoying your meals, some coffee, or a glass of wine in total relaxation while gazing at the Aegean Sea beyond.

The colours of the sunset, with the mountains of Kimolos and Milos as a backdrop, is a sight that can hardly be described in plain words, and is bound to leave you breathless.

Whereabouts

Casa Nefeli is just above the main village of Kimolos. This island is truly a small and rare beauty of the Aegean Sea, in the heart of the Cycladic Islands complex. A completely laid-back, unpretentious destination, it boasts a fantastic landscape of extreme natural beauty so characteristic of the local style and colour of the Cycladic area.

Conveniently located at the entrance of the picturesque village of Kimolos in a tranquil and relaxing environment, Casa Nefeli is only a stroll away from the shopping facilities, the taverns and the entertainment venues of the village. The small port of Psathi is 800meters away from the houses while the bus station is just 50 meters away. Guests can enjoy swimming at the crystal clear waters of Rema and at the leeward beach of Kara, both within a 15 minutes’ walk from Casa Nefeli. Using the bus, or private means of transportation, you can explore and discover the rest of this magnificent island.

Kimolos includes the uninhabited yet extremely beautiful islands of Polyaigos, Agios Efstathios and Agios Georgios. It is fairly small, with a land area of 36 square kilometres and a reported population of about 900 permanent residents. Kimolos is one of the lesser known Greek islands, a hidden gem waiting to be discovered by those with a liking for simple, pure beauty and authentic character.

This rare hidden gem of the Cyclades is usually preferred by those who appreciate time away from the hustle and bustle of busy tourist routes and heavily visited areas, while enjoying some of the finest beaches and crystal clear turquoise blue waters available across the Aegean Sea.

As a visitor here you will have a rare chance to experience the authentic pace of Greek island living, which remains mostly unaltered even during the busiest summer months and unaffected by mass tourism. Kimolos belongs to western Cyclades region, and is connected to nearby islands and the Piraeus port of Athens via a year-round ferry, as well as a catamaran which however only runs during the tourist season. Transport via the neighboring island of Milos is also available and fairly frequent.

According to tradition, the island is named after Kimolos, who was its very first inhabitant.  Echinousa was actually the authentic name of the island during ancient times. Kimolos lies to the northwest of the much larger Cycladic island of Milos. They are separated by a narrow 1 km wide channel. Its peak is Mt. Paleokastro at 364 metres and the only town is Chorio, meaning ‘village’, located on a hill on the west side of the island. Smaller settlements like Psathi, the actual port, Goupa, Kara, Prasa, Aliki, Bonatsa and Dekas can be found scattered across the island.

The pace and vibe here are characterised by a laid-back, relaxed approach, a friendly and welcoming attitude and a warm hospitality offered by local residents. Kimolos is ideal for those seeking to relax and unwind fully while immersing themselves in true Cycladic summer living. The sea is gorgeous, people are friendly, and the food is simply wonderful.

Do not miss the chance to taste some of the locally-sourced fish and seafood dishes, locally-grown vegetables, and the renowned locally-sourced delicious meat, all available in the islands select range of taverns and restaurants, along with a glass of wine or the drink of your preference!
